Supervision Services

Picture
I provide professional supervision and mentoring services to Clinical Psychologists seeking ongoing professional supervision. I am registered with the Psychology Board of Australia as a supervisor. The aim of clinical supervision is to develop therapeutic skills and depth of understanding in the therapy process and the role we play in it, in a safe and collegial space.  Supervision involves discussing your work with clients in detail whilst receiving  empathy,  exploration of processes  and practical ideas about how to deal with the issues people bring into therapy. Most people come to supervision every 4 weeks. The frequency of supervision sessions would be discussed and worked out with you as to what is going to work well.

If you contact me for supervision I make an initial appointment to discuss what you want to gain from supervision
and to talk to you about what I can offer you. If we feel there is a good "fit" between your existing needs and style
of supervision I offer, then we would discuss and agree upon how often supervision will occur, what kinds of things
will be focused on and any other particular requirements of the supervision.

Supervisees usually describe supervision as invaluable to their work and to their emotional health in the workplace.
It generally increases their confidence, reduces their anxiety, increases their skill level and increases their work satisfaction.
